Loddies Loppet race in Callaway, MN

Buck Hill Birch Bump: Race recap from Jesse.

My heart was pumping full of nervousness a the starting line.  I waited for the countdown and bang, were off.  32 riders take off in a dead sprint. Me on the other hand power while in the saddle and maintain a position of 20th.  As we approach the first hill climb (this is were my training on the road bike really shines) I get up out of the saddle and pound on the pedals, rotation after grueling rotation I pedal faster and faster shifting into a lower gear as my speed increases.  I take a glance and look further up the trail and notice my arch nemesis Kevin Gonzales from team LCR and a mass of clumsily slowing riders are just ahead of me.  I thought to myself there was no way they were going to beat me to the top of this climb.  I keep up the pace and blaze past the bunch (and Kevin from LCR).  I felt great and pushed to the end for a great finish. Cant wait for the border battle.

My 18lbs Scott Scale HT is dead. RIP

I am now using an old, tired, bearing creeking, bobs like crazy 02 Specialized S-works FSRxc

I will have a new build for laddies Loppet.  Hope to see everyone there.
